Following multiple editions of the New Testament, the complete Bible was first published in 1990 by the United Bible Societies (UBS). This version became the standard text of the Bible in Macedonian and was widely adopted among Macedonian Christians. It has received official approval and blessings from the Holy Synod of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Archdiocese of Ohrid.
